In 2006, I started the project: "ISIS, 77 Portraits of Mothers".
My desire was to paint 77 portraits of Mothers and to let their life experiences come out of these faces.
A mother has somehow carried humanity within her, giving birth to it in a moment of intense joy and suffering.
In this paradoxical form of "self-giving" I believe there is a source of inspiration.
